Safeguarding at Arise ALP
At Arise ALP, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is our highest priority. All practice across our provision is underpinned by Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and reflects our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment where young people feel protected, listened to, and respected.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We work proactively to create a culture where concerns are identified early, shared appropriately, and acted upon in the best interests of the child. We promote respect for all and celebrate diversity, ensuring that every learner feels safe regardless of background, identity, or need.
Safeguarding is embedded throughout our curriculum, mentoring, PSHE, and daily interactions. Through strong relationships and consistent routines, we support young people to develop trust, confidence, and emotional safety. Where learners experience challenges, we respond with care, curiosity, and proportionate support.
If you have any concern about the safety or wellbeing of a young person attending Arise ALP, we encourage you to share this as soon as possible. All concerns, no matter how small, are taken seriously and responded to in line with our safeguarding policies and statutory guidance.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead at Arise ALP is Joseph Wright.
